What do you like to do during a hot sunny day in Singapore. welovedayout was heading off for a fun wet day at Wild Wild Wet.
Wild Wild Wet located at Downtown East is a water theme park catered for all ages. There are various ticket packages available and promotions for ntuc plus cardholders too. For families who wants to hold birthday celebrations, the park has different package tiers too. It will be such fun for families and friends to gather in this park to celebrate birthday. During school weeks, the water park is closed on Tuesday for maintenace.

The park was pretty empty when we arrived at 10.30am. We were spoilt for choices at this amazing fun water park. There were rides like Ular-lah, Water Works, Tsunami, Shiok river (aka Lazy river), Slide Up and Torpedo for the courageous. Not forgetting the younger children the water park do have Yippee, Professor's Playground and the Jacuzzi too.

After spreading lots of sunscreen on ourselves, we ran towards Professor's Playground. Water guns shooting, shouting and laughter could be heard from overjoyed children.

Next we headed towards the higher level of slides which were Water Works and Ular-lah. Water Works slides consisted of both enclosed and uncovered. The children tested out the slides and all thumbs up for the enclosed slide as they felt it was faster.

Tsunami was nearby so we decided to pop over. We had so much fun at Tsunami when the big waves started. Children were having a hilarious time here. Huge floats were seen bopping up and down along with the waves (hint : good to wear life jacket for floating so that you will not feel tired trying to float with no aid)

Our yummy pack lunch for the day
Food & Beverage area and our yummy lunch
After Tsunami we were so hungry, we decided to stop for lunch. There was a Food & Beverage corner available. Since we had prepared lunch, we rested under the huge umbrella and started eating.

Adrenaline fun ride at Ular-lah
Thrilling ride at Ular-lah
After our lunch break, we went to have a try at Ular-lah. It was the first raft slide in Southeast Asia and definitely for the adrenaline seekers. We had so much fun screaming and laughing as the raft went down the slide. We felt like we were doing water rafting in a river.

Families relaxing at Jacuzzi pool

Calming Shiok River (aka Lazy River) to end our fun day
Lazing around the Shiok River with families and friends
After the adrenaline rush, we went to the jacuzzi for a rest. It was a quick rest before we grabbed our floats and ran towards Shiok River (aka Lazy River). Here we just followed the flow of the river, calming oursleves down for the day.

After a well spent day at Wild Wild Wet, we were all very tired. We had a wonderful fun day out at this amazing water theme park and we promised to come back again. Below are some suggestions when heading to Wild Wild Wet and we hope that families and friends will enjoy this water theme park as much as we did.

Singapore Discovery Center | A Day Of Fun With My Family

Fun family day at Singapore Discovery Center
Day out exploring Singapore Discovery Center
welovedayout was out exploring Singapore Discovery Center for the day. Located at Upper Jurong Road, far west end of Singapore, we decided to drive there. How to get there is pretty easy for non drivers too, there is a MRT station (Joo Koon) which is just 10 mins walk to the Discovery Center, or bus services from Boon Lay Interchange.

Fun exploring starts at the gallery entrance
Entrance to the exhibits
Singapore Discovery Center is an educational center that provides lots of information about Singapore history and the development of our Little Red Dot (Singapore). Although it is an educational center, there are still lots of fun activities for visitors to try. Currently, it is free entry for Singapore citizens and PRs. There are various admission packages offered for the tourists and foreign citizens too. Included in our ticket was the entry to the center's exhibits, a complimentary SAFTI bus tour to get a glimpse of our Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) officers' training academy and a special movie ticket.

Fun Activities to do

Fun play at Battlefield Command Station
Big & small kids having fun at Battlefield Command Station
Inside the exhibits, there is the 'Battlefield Command', which allows friends or families to role play as a Leopard 2A4 Tank commander; an Apache helicopter pilot and a Frigate vessel commander. It showed us how the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) worked together in a battle scenario. This was no doubt one of the MUST go fun station.

Fun interactive game at Unity Pavilion
Fun game at the Unity Pavilion corner
Head to 'Unity Pavilion' for a fun interactive and informational questions game on Singapore multi-cultural society. It was an enriching session answering questions about our Little Red Dot cultures. We were surprised by the answers given. Loud giggles from others could be heard as they were answering the questions.

Continue to 'On Location Reporter' which was an engaging corner where we got to be a reporter for a day. Choose from 20 choices of news in 4 different languages. It was indeed insightful to learn some of Singapore's history first hand.
