Horizon Ferry at Habourfront Ferry Terminal |
Over the weekend we decided to do a short trip to Batam again, slightly more than a year since our last visit. This time we decided to stay at Nagoya area as we had been to Batam City side during the last visit.

Clean and Neat Horizon Ferry |
Departing from Singapore Harbourfront Ferry Terminal, we decided to take Horizon Ferry to Batam. It was one of the best choice of the trip. Unlike the other Batam ferry providers, this boat was so new and clean. Similar to the ferries going to Bintan.

Shops at Harbour Bay Batam Ferry Terminal |
It was a great 45mins ferry ride to Harbour Bay Terminal, the nearest ferry terminal to Nagoya Hill. It was a pretty new terminal. The surroundings were still filled with constructions going on. Shops and eateries were spotted at the terminal.
We headed straight to get our return tickets for the next day as we wanted to take the 5.50pm ferry. At the terminal, we were approached by a Chinese man who provided transportation to anywhere in Batam.
So we decided to take the risk and took the transport to our booked hotel and paid RP$50000 (S$5.30). As the hotel was very near the terminal, we reached in less than 10 minutes.

Nagoya Hill Hotel Room |
We chose Nagoya Hill Hotel through Agoda and it was the best choice. Hotel's location was superb, just a stone throw away from the mall. Lots of massage parlours and food eateries.

Sakura Massage & Spa |
We decided to check out the prices of the ever popular Majestic Spa & Massage. We were put off by the prices so we decided to try next door, Sakura Massage & Spa. The price wasn't as expensive as Majestic so we decided to have a try. The masseurs strength were alright but the environment wasn't relaxing at all. We had a whole 2hrs of raining sounds from above, think someone was doing major washing. Just our 'lucky day' I guess.

Ayam Penyet at Nagoya Hill Mall |
Dinner we had Ayam Penyet from this stall and it was very yummy. The chicken was very tender (ps. I hate breast meat) to my liking.
Ended the day with a movie (watched Deadpool) that cost S$2.60 each.

Breakfast buffet at Nagoya Hill Hotel |
Next day we had our breakfast in the hotel. The buffet spread was fantastic and we were told the selections changes everyday. You must try the Lupis dessert. It's super yummy!
We continued our search on massages in this area. Decided to try Go Massage. We message them on Facebook and manage to get a slot. There was a complimentary pick up to and fro so do check with them.
We thought we had chosen a better massage place today but to our dismay it was as bad as yesterday. Ok maybe just slightly better than yesterday. It wasn't relaxing at all. Phone calls were ringing from other patrons and they spoke loudly. The masseurs don't have a standard style of massage even though we both chose aromatherapy massage.
We noticed the prices of the massages at Nagoya Hill area is on the high side, the food prices had increase over the years. Shopping for our toiletries was good as usual due to exchange rate.
I guess for the next trip (if there is), we won't be there for the massage anymore. The massages were not relaxing at all.
